They’d known each other since middle school; when you’re still half kid/half teenager, you’re still trying to find your way in the world, and your biggest dream is the day you can get your braces off. Life without each other would be a life unknown to Shelby + Alec.
Their art deco-styled wedding venue, Ironworks, was just a few blocks down the road from where they live in Denver, Colorado.
As they journeyed through life growing up together, their families were always suspicious they would end up in love–but they assured everyone all along they were just friends. They even went so far as to go to prom together-as friends. But nothing more, of course.
So sure enough, it’s easy to say no one was surprised to be attending their wedding, all those years later.
All of their decor for the day was full of the rich, vibrant tones + gold touches the 1920’s are known for. One of the best parts about Ironworks Denver is that much of the decor + theme is built into the venue, so you don’t need many additional touches to dress it up.
Outside the venue, autumn was in full bloom around Denver. It was the perfect time of year to cozy up by the firepit outside on the patio, and bite into a delicious slice of peach cake around the dance floor.
It was a day Alex + Shelby will never forget, with everyone they love in the world surrounding them + all the glam, gorgeous details they could’ve dreamt of. They will be embarking on a jeeping adventure to celebrate their honeymoon together.
