Shree & Noah
Hidden Springs Ranch
Granby, Colorado
June 17, 2023
Photographs simply cannot fit the amount of oozing love, traditions, memories, family bonds, color, detail, and celebrating from this Indian-Jewish wedding week. So here’s a start on all we were graced with witnessing at Shree + Noah’s ranch wedding in the mountains of Colorado!
The week began in Denver, when Noah + Shree’s immediate families gathered for the Haldi ceremony, a Hindu tradition where family members covered the soon to be bride + groom in a cleansing turmeric paste.
Shree’s sisters also indulged in helping wash off the turmeric paste with cold water 🙂
Later in the evening, everyone reconvened for the Mehndi ceremony, where everyone was decorated in Henna designs by the talented Anita of Hummingbird Henna.
All of Shree + Noah’s guests then made the trip up to Granby, Colorado for the Sangeet ceremony, where everyone arrives for a pre-wedding day celebration of special dances performed by the bride + groom’s closest friends.
The evening ended with a rainbow over the mountains, which welcomed Shree + Noah into their wedding day with a little extra magic.
The wedding day preparation involved many ornate pieces of jewelry + different sarees which created absolutely breathtaking looks for Shree on her special day.
Once she was ready, it was time for the first look with not only her groom, but her two favorite doggos, Gus + Luke.
Noah + Shree then had a beautiful pre-ceremony led by the Rabbi, which is a Jewish tradition of prayer, intention, and revealing the ketubah for their immediate families. Everyone showered the two in words of love to prepare them for the wedding to begin.
Not long after the ceremony began, Mother Nature decided for a change in the weather, as She does in the mountains. Everyone quickly ran under cover in the reception hall + the ceremony continued inside.
The ceremony was an incredible + sacred compilation of both Jewish + Hindu traditions.
Then it was time for an outfit change to begin the reception.
Shree + Noah got to sneak away just before the sun set to enjoy their stunning chuppah + enjoy the mountain views as husband + wife.
They celebrated all night long together with all their family + friends after a long week of exciting ceremonies + months of planning their perfect Colorado Hindewish (their new coined term for Hindu + Jewish) wedding.
