May greeted Phil + Soumya’s wedding day with warmth + perfect little Toy-Story clouds hanging in the bright blue sky, after a long week of snow + rain. Phil + his two best men got ready in a quaint Nebraskan home. Memories were shared, laughter was exchanged, and excitement for the day was setting in.
Meanwhile, Soumya + the girls got ready at Barn Anew, a sweet bed + breakfast in the outskirts of town. She prepped with a nervous peacefulness for Phil to meet her there to see her for the first time.
They met at their best friends’ wedding, as Phil was the best man + Soumya was the maid of honor. Phil knew immediately that he wanted to get to know her. They never could’ve imagined that two years later, they, too, would be celebrating their own.
Everyone came from all corners of the Earth for the occasion; Phil + Soumya from their home of New York City, Soumya’s family from India, guests from England, and some family from Nebraska themselves.
St. Anges Catholic Church stands tall + glorious in the middle of Scottsbluff’s dirt roads + open land, welcoming everyone for a traditional ceremony.
After the ceremony, the two snuck away on a golf cart, rosé in hand, to take it all in before enjoying the reception at the Scottsbluff Country Club. Golden sun swept across the lawns + the newlyweds took full advantage of time alone.
Meanwhile, guests arrived at the country club + shortly after, Phil + Soumya joined the party in celebrating life’s greatest gifts. Food was eaten, champagne was toasted, and words of affirmation were shared.
Guests from near + far came to shower their beloved Phil + Soumya in an eclectic celebration.
